Being a big fan of Dr.Beck's work and books I really think our smart phones are the perfect digital tool to compliment and apply all of her great cognitive work to.
Another way to think about getting our weight and wellness in balance is that we really need to start coming to our senses about all things eating and exercise, and Dr.Beck's work really helps to that end. Cognitive behavior therapy has proven very successful in helping people lose weight and keep it off as it makes you much more aware of all of the thoughts that precede our actions, and how to make better decisions in the process.
So what does all of this have to do with smart phones and The Smart Phone Diet. Well since most of us are always joined at the hip to our smart phones, we have a built in 24/7 digital conscious and coach that's always armed and ready to help us along the "weigh", I can't think of a better tool to help us reach our weight loss and wellness goals.
Thankful to have my trusty iPhone by side, I'm down 30 lbs on The Smart Phone Diet!
And inspired by Danny Cahill's amazing weight loss of 239 lbs in only 6 and a 1/2 months, I'm going to make sure I upload some of his videos from The Biggest Loser to keep his energy and success story in my iPhone to help me leap frog over any moments of weakness.
As much as I'm excited to once and for all lose the weight, I think what drives me as much is the total transformation that happens to people when they lose massive amounts of weight.
Being smaller is great, but actually seeing what you really look like under all of that fat, especially in your face, is my driving motivation!
