I do my best creative work in the morning, so yesterday I decided I'm going to switch up my gym routine and start going to Bally's @ lunch time vs. early in the morning. That timing worked great for Kim and I when we lived in Dallas many moons ago we trained together. Other than when we first met @ 18, when Kim and I trained together in the middle of the day, we not only looked the best we had in years, we had way more energy. Even better, Kim says she wants to start training with me again.
So today I'm going to switch things up and get on the treadmill @ lunchtime with a goal to beat my last 800 calorie burn on. It should be a lot easier to do now that I just loaded up my iPhone with Jen's newest "Don't Stop Movin" play list.
So... I started my day off with two venti Starbucks w/a little milk and a Sweet N'Low
and some Arnold's German Dark Wheat toast sprayed with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. I'll tell ya, that Arnold's toast is delicious!
I really liked the change in going to the gym at lunch time, and having loaded up my iPhone with music didn't hurt either. The music Jen shared was great but my two favorites that still help me push whenever I start dragging are Don't Stop Movin' and Final Countdown. I set a goal to burn through 850 calories on the treadmill and I did 861.
So by the time I got out of Ballys, got some gas and got back to the office I was starving, so I changed my clothes and headed to Arturo's for a very, very late lunch. I ordered two of my favorites, meatballs and their salad w/goat cheese, cranberries and balsamic vinegar.
