Down another 3.5 lbs since my last weigh in, which is great, but this morning I've decided to take my efforts to the next level! At my size, I know I can be losing even more every week, so that's what I'm going to do.
Not in an unhealthy "weigh", but just by increasing my intensity at Bally's, moving more and more towards ONLY complex carbs, less of them, and OF COURSE, more fruits and veggies.
Another change for this week... dinner @ 6, and the gym @ 8, Monday thru Friday, NO EXCUSES!
And training much, much, stronger while I'm there, listening to "Don't Stop Movin" and my other favorites that keep my training intensity up!
Now I'm pleased that I've lost a total of 56.3 lbs on "The Smart Phone Diet" but I still have a long, long weigh to go. Especially as I started looking at old pictures over the weekend of myself when I weighed a 100lbs less and even then, I still looked too fat, why, because I was.
The only adult pic that I have where I actually looked trim was when I was 19, and dating Kim. The sad thing is that even at that weight I thought I was fat.
Looking back, I've never been "cut", never. But I at 175lbs and 5'11" I wasn't fat, but I thought I was.
Ever since I had my tonsils out when I was little and I started having to wear the infamous "huskies", all I ever heard was "you're FAT, FATSO, TUBBY, LARD ASS, you know the drill", and for year's that's all I ever believed I was. But that's a story for another time.
So back to this week...
In addition to using my iPhone as my 24/7 digital weight loss conscious, I brought out a fresh new trusty piece of 5lb mypetfat and placed it right by my computer to keep my weight loss goal and commitment to myself front and center. It's a lot easier looking at "mentally motivating" mypetfat pics on my iPhone when I'm on the move than hauling around a piece of mypetfat in my car [I actually did that in the early days of mpf, along with many other tricks...]
So that's where my head is this morning, and that's what I'm going to do
this week!
Stay tuned as I post what I'm thinking, eating and doing...
Ok, starting my morning with a little office-brewed Trader Joe's decaf w/milk.
Well breakfast came and went and as it turned out I never had it, but at around 11:00 I stopped long enough to have a little bit of meatloaf we had in the fridge. I'm ding my best this week to eat more protein in addition to more veggies. No veggies yet here...
I did take a short break for lunch but had it in front of my computer. Bumble Bee tuna with celery, onion and a little lite mayo on toasted whole grain bread and I'm drinking LOTS of water.
My friend Theresa suggested I have a peanut butter and celery snack this afternoon. I haven't eaten that since elementary school, so I went for it with a little Trader Joe's peanut butter and I must admit it really hit the spot, thanks T!
Staying on plan I made turkey sausage with garlic, onion and broccoli rabe over Barilla whole grain pasta for dinner. The portion looks large but it's smaller than what I would have eaten if I wasn't being more conscious, hence a bid advantage of taking pics of what I'm eating and journaling about it.
Off to Bally's in a little while for an upper body work out. Taking myself out of my comfort zone this week by going to the gym at night. To date I prefer the morning. Gotta remember to take my ear buds for my iPhone tonight as I always work out stronger with music.
Even though I really prefer working out in the morning with music in my iPhone I was able to have a great workout. Little by little I can getting more and more energy and I'm feeling much more fit.
I was looking for something after the gym so I ended up having two bananas.
